Melody’s Biography
My name is Melody Grace Hyde, and I am sixteen years old. I was born in Illinois, and shortly after I was born, our family moved to California. Next, we relocated to Pennsylvania, later returning to California, where we lived for several years before moving to Michigan, our home for the last ten years.
I am the fourth child in my family and have four brothers and four sisters. My siblings and I have always greatly enjoyed outdoor activities. We have many fond memories of building forts and romping through the woods in the summertime. Also, being the youngest of the older girls, I always felt a little left out. But as I grew older, my sisters and I became best friends. In Michigan, we lived on 28 acres, and constantly had many animals. It was always fun to have baby kittens, goats, chicks, and even a baby horse, “Little Bit.”
I was home schooled until grade seven by my mother, who is a certified elementary teacher. After attending Battle Creek Academy, I came to Fountainview Academy.
Being at Fountainview has been a really good experience for me, and I know I have grown closer to Christ. It has been a great blessing for me to be with friends who believe the same as I do. I am a very social person and would not consider myself shy! Most people say I am very talkative and ask many questions. Some say I am understanding and easy going. I would not say I enjoy school. I have an especially hard time with writing and spelling. I do, however, really enjoy being here at school. The hardest part is being away from my family.
I have always wanted to be a mother of either two or four children, who I would raise to love and know Jesus as their best friend. Lately, however, I have thought a lot about being a dental hygienist. I think it would be a good, flexible job for having children, and I enjoy doing detailed work. I want to stay open for what God wants me to do in my life, so I don’t want to make any final decisions. I am also interested in going to the mission field, or doing whatever God calls me to do.
So now you know a little bit about me; and if there is anything you ever might want to know, you can always ask, I would be happy to tell you.
For not enjoying writing, I think you have done a very nice job with your biography.
